Mr. Daugherty was a cowboy all his life, working on the family ranch near Ten
Sleep. He was a top hand with horses. It was said he could get more
out of a horse than anyone else. His natural was with horses would
classify him as a "horse whisperer" by today's standards. He
was known for having excellent horses with lots of spirit and endurance.
Like many cowboys, Mr. Daugherty had some wild and interesting times while
growing up. He once killed two dear with the same bullet, yet emptied his
pistol on a skunk and the skunk got away.

of Mesquite, Texas.
