TEN SLEEP --- Harold D.
Ainsworth, 82, formerly of Ten Sleep, died Saturday, January 9, 1999 at his
home in Milton-
Freewater, Ore.
He was born Jan. 16, 1916
in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Ray W.D. and Edith M.
(Brown) Ainsworth. He married Mary "Malvina"
Morton on Jan. 30, 1941 at Boulder,
Colo.
He was raised at Big
Trails, south of Ten Sleep, where he attended schools. Following his
marriage he ranched in Wyoming for a number of
years before moving to Pendleton,
Ore. While living in
Pendleton, he worked for the Harris Pine Mills for 24 years. Following
his retirement, the couple moved to Rogue
River, Ore., and in
1993 they moved to Milton- Freewater. He
enjoyed woodworking and creating miniature replicas of covered wagons and farm
equipment.
He is survived by his
wife Malvina Ainsworth of Milton-Freewater, Ore.;
two sons, Charles Ainsworth of Tempe, Ariz., and Don Ainsworth of Pendleton,
Ore.; one daughter, Loretta Pline of Milton-Freewater, Ore.;
five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, a son, Keith LeRoy Ainsworth, a
sister, Ruby Gifford Dabbs, and a brother, Herbert W.
Ainsworth.
Funeral services will be
at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Worland
Seventh Day
Adventist Church
with Pastor Tobin Dodge officiating. There will be a private burial at
the Ten Sleep Cemetery.
