TEN SLEEP – Jeff E. [Elmer] Jeffers, 63, or Worland, passed away April 3, 2011 at the University of Colorado in Denver.

He was born June 30, 1947 in Sheridan to Jack and Helen Jeffers. Jeff graduated High School in Buffalo in 1965. He moved to Ten Sleep in 1966 to a ranch on the Upper Nowood. [Big Trails] He married Jeannie Jeffers [Greet] on Nov. 24, 1973 in Ten Sleep. Jeff and Jeannie moved to Worland where Jeff went into business repairing saddles and shoes. He worked for the Wyoming Boys School for 30+ years. Jeff was an active member in the Ten Sleep 7th- Day Adventist Church.

Jeff enjoyed hunting, leather working and reading about history. After retiring he enjoyed playing dominoes and visiting family – especially the grandkids. Jeff’s easy going attitude, dry sense of humor, quick wit, long list of jokes and stories will be missed by many.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Jack Jeffers.

He is survived by his mother Helen, four sisters: Karen, Linda, Jackie and Tony [Toni]. His wife Jeannie, son Troy (Loralei) of Cody, and two grandchildren, Dean and Cedar.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Ten Sleep on Saturday, April 16th at 10 a.m. at the Methodist Church.
