     MANTI, Utah --- Siegfried Henry "Sieg" Fehlberg, 78, formerly of Worland, died Saturday, April 24, in Provo, Utah of complications following a stroke on April 18.
     He was born Oct. 15, 1914, in Shelby, Mont., a son of Paul and Maria Bauer.  He was raised and educated in the Flathead Lake area of Montana and in southern Alberta.
     He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, earning several honors including the Silver Star.
     On June 4, 1946, he married Mary Francis Tully.
     In 1950, he graduated from Brigham Young University and began teaching school in Lovell.  In 1954, he moved his family to Worland where he taught until trying a small business, later working as a carpenter and construction worker.  He and his family lived on 22 acres south of Worland, a spot he called "Fehlberg College."
     Mr. Fehlberg was a scoutmaster, representative to the Wyoming Industrial Institute, supporter of Worland athletics and athletes, Family History Center worker and various other positions with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
     He and his wife served two two-year leadership training missions for the church in Hazard, Ky. and the Philippines.
     Survivors include his wife; four sons, Wayne of Citrus Heights, Calif., Rondo  of Houston, Texas, Reed of Huntington, Utah and Paul of Manti, Utah; one daughter, Geneva Norton of Seattle; one brother, Arnold of Shelby, Mont.; two sisters, Marie Clark of Sweetgrass, Mont. and Anita Tunbridge of Draper, Utah and 29 grandchildren.
     The service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Manti 1st Ward LDS Chapel, with viewing one hour prior to the service.  A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday in the LDS Stake Center in Worland, with viewing one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Ten Sleep Cemetery.

OREM, Utah --- Funeral services for former Worland resident Mary Francis (Tully) Fehlberg, 90, of Orem, Utah will be Monday, April 8 at 11 a.m. at The Worland Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center with Bishop J. Michael Snyder officiating.
     The casket will be open at the LDS Stake Center one hour prior to service time.
     Burial will be at the Ten Sleep Cemetery at Ten Sleep at 12:45 p.m. following the church service. 
     Mary died Thursday, April 4, 2002 in Orem.
     Mary was born Feb. 25, 1912 at Big Trails, the daughter of James Henry and Fannie (Washburn) Tully.  She was raised at Ten Sleep where she attended school.  She graduated from Natrona County High School with her brother Wayne in Casper.
     Mary attended the University of Wyoming where she earned a teaching  certificate.  She returned to Worland and Big Trails where she taught school before moving to Tacoma, Wash. where she met her future husband, Sieg.
     Mary married Siegfried H. Fehlberg on June 6, 1946 in Provo, Utah.  Following their marriage, they returned to Worland where they raised their family.
     She was active in the Worland Artists Association and was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed supporting her children in all of their activities as they grew up in Worland.
     After retiring from teaching, she and Sieg served two missions for the LDS Church, the first in Kentucky, the second at Bagio, Philippines.  After returning from the Philippines, they moved to Manti, Utah to be closer to an LDS Temple.  They both worked as hosts at the Manti Temple.  She continued to do some painting and started doing some writing while living in Manti.
     After the death of her husband in 1993, Mary continued to make her home in Manti until moving to the Orem Nursing Center in November of 2001.
     She was preceded in death by her husband Sieg; and her parents.
     Mary is survived by four sons, Wayne (Merlene) Fehlberg of Citrus Heights, Calif., Rondo (Mary) Fehlberg of Orem, Reed  (Carma) Fehlberg of Huntington, Utah, and Paul (Karen) Fehlberg of Bedford, Texas; one daughter, Geneva (Brion) Norton of Seattle, Wash.; 31 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
     Memorials may be made in her name for a fund yet to be named in care of her daughter, Geneva Norton, 20209 Dayton Avenue, Seattle, Wash., 98133.
