TEN SLEEP --- Lester E. Day, 63, died Jan. 18, in Ten Sleep. He was born Feb. 12, 1918 in Scotsbluff, Neb. At the age of seven he moved to Cheyenne, where he worked in a war plant. Later he worked in and around Lander until 1953. He then moved to Wheatland where he met and married Bonnie Collins on Aug. 10, 1960. They lived in Wheatland until 1974 when they moved to Ten Sleep.

He is survived by his wife of Ten Sleep; three sons, Lane Day of Ten Sleep, Wes Van Ortwick of Montana and Randy Van Ortwick of Cheyenne; five daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Narissa) Nickerson of Cheyenne; Mrs. Ted (Lela) Logan and Mrs. Don (Rhonda) Jordan, both of Worland; Stephenie and Jolene Day of the family home; four brothers, Roy Day of Douglas and Warren McCane, Harold Lyman and Ray Lyman, all of Guernsey and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22 in the Ten Sleep Seventh Day Adventist Church with the Rev. Paul Vercio [rest missing].
