TEN SLEEP --- Longtime Ten Sleep resident Everett Joel Compton, 90, died on
Tuesday, Jan. 27 at Community Care of America in Worland.
He was born on Jan. 20, 1907 in

He married Margaret Sutherland in 1933. They were later divorced.
Mr. Compton worked as a cowboy and horse wrangler for well-known ranches in the
area, including the Rice Brothers Ranch, Arapaho Ranch, Stan Smith Ranch, Longwell Ranch and the Pitchfork Ranch.
He was a member of the Worland Elks Lodge, and was a former member of the Ten
Sleep Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by two sisters, Eunice Alred of Ten
Sleep and Marguerite Packer of Thermopolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by five brothers, Ephraim, Frank, Uel, Clarence and Irving Compton; and by his sister, Lilliam Packer.
Cremation has taken place.
The service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Ten Sleep Cemetery, with Tom
Patras of
Veile Mortuary of Worland is in charge of
arrangements.
