She was born to Roy Neil and Catheryne (Schaff) Sweet on April 17, 1926 on her parents' farm east
of Worland.
She lived on the farm until the family moved to Ten Sleep in 1931. She
attended schools in Ten Sleep, but spent her senior year of high school in
Worland, graduating from
On Aug. 3, 1946 she married Glenn C. Cantleberry in
Following her marriage she moved to Thermopolis, where
she and her husband owned and operated Glenn's Plumbing and Heating until 1963.
While living in Thermopolis, Mrs. Cantleberry was a
4-H leader and a member of the Hot Springs County Extension Club. She was
also active in bowling leagues and enjoyed swimming.
In 1963, the Cantleberrys moved to Ten Sleep, where
she was employed as the Ten Sleep High School secretary from 1971 to 1990.
Mrs. Cantleberry enjoyed spending time in the
mountains, playing pinochle, doing all sorts of needlework, and visiting with
friends and family.
Survivors include her mother of Ten Sleep; a son, Glenn of Thermopolis; a
daughter, Judy K. Weekes of
She was preceded death by her father, and by her
husband in 1995.
The memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Ten Sleep
Methodist Church, with the Rev. Shannon Martin officiating.
Cremation will take place, and the cremains will be
buried in a private service at the Ten Sleep Cemetery.
