TORRINGTON --- Joint funeral services will be held for Betty J. Breeden, 74, and her daughter, Charlotte Breeden Jacobs, 53.  The women died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident south of Lovell on Sunday, July 9, 2000.  The women were on a trip visiting family and friends in the Ten Sleep area.
     Betty J. Breeden was born on July 19, 1925 at Thermopolis, the daughter of Delbert and Susie Pearl (Cogdill) Drake.  She grew up and attended school at Thermopolis.  She went to nurses training at St. Vincent Hospital Sisters of Charity School of Nursing in Billings, Mont.  From 1943 to 1946, she worked under the Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII.
     She married Robert D. Breeden on Sept. 29, 1946 at Billings.  She worked 18 years at the North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell; she then worked 11 years at the Goshen County Memorial Nursing Home in Torrington, retiring in 1990.
     She was affiliated with the Ft. Laramie Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Women's Bible Study, the Torrington Garden Club, and the Retired Nurses Association; she was on the advisory board of the Ft. Laramie Senior Center.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Charlotte Jacobs; one brother, Byron; and three sisters, Garnadell, Peggy, and Shirley.
     She is survived by two sons, David (Dana) of Ft. Laramie and Raymond (Susan) of Layton, Utah; a sister, Norma Early of Florida; a brother-in-law, Dean Mills of Rohnert Park, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13 at 10 a.m. at the Ft. Laramie  Presbyterian Church at Ft. Laramie with the Rev. Judith Cuthbertson officiating.
     Visitations were held Wednesday at the Colyer Funeral Home.
     Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice in honor of Betty.
